Gique presented a workshop entitled "Moving from Consumer to Creators with Gique’s Research-Based STEAM Programs" which presented all about Gique's soon-to-be published research on a 9-month-pilot study of its OST STEAM Program. 

The conference was organized by a grassroots group of educators, community organizers, and professionals of color. The theme of the 2017 Educators of Color Conference was “We BEEN Here: Educators of Color Changing the World of STEAM." This year’s conference featured a keynote by Dr. Nettrice Gaskins, a luncheon for STEAM professionals to host students, and a closing panel of STEAM professionals sharing their experiences, challenges and successes.
